What to Bring to the Hospital

I didn’t include myself and Kent in this comic, because we haven’t gotten this far in the pregnancy yet. We’ve thought about it though! Actually, this weekend we finished taking the prepared childbirth class our hospital offers. It was all right. I would say we already knew about 75% of what was covered, thanks to reading books and articles.

I still need to write my birth plan. If it’s interesting, I’ll probably share it on here.

Have you heard about this cookie baking thing for the nurses? Do people really do this? If you’re a nurse, would you eat something a patient baked? As a teacher, I get homemade baked goods a lot. Whether or not I eat them depends on the kid. But I know the kids pretty well. When you’re a nurse, you’re working with a stranger. I’m not sure I’d trust that.

I also don’t know if I’ll make a playlist for the hospital. Kent will probably bring his laptop to the hospital, and we’ll figure things out from there. Only a few rooms at the hospital have cd players anyway.

And, clothes. I think we’ll bring a ton of clothes, because who knows how big this kid will be? I’ve heard doctor’s estimates can be WAY off on size.
