And guess who hasn’t baby proofed yet? That’s right, us. Right now we’re taking the “wait and see what he gets into” approach. He likes trying to grab the electrical sockets, so we’ll be ordering some outlet covers soon. Fortunately he’s too short to teach them now, and I’m hoping he’ll stay that way until I order the covers from Amazon.
Other than that…he hasn’t discovered the steps yet, and we can block off the steps he’s near with doors. I’m not sure what else we CAN child proof, other than moving things to where he can’t get them. That’s where all our energy is going these days. Moving things up higher and grabbing the baby. Oh, and preventing the cat from MURDER, because although she’s faster than him for now, he’s come pretty close to a tail yank a couple of times.
Guess what else? Mom Comic has been online for a year! Hooray! It’s come a pretty long way since I started it and didn’t promote it at all, and I’d like to take it even further next year. They say you’re more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down, so here are my goals for the next year:
– Get more people to check out Mom Comic!
Now, how am I going to do that?
– I plan on starting to advertise on a few websites. Some on mom sites, some on comic sites, maybe Facebook? We’ll see. If you have any suggestions on where I should buy an ad, let me know!
– I’m going to try to update the site multiple times a week. I’m thinking comic Monday, blog post Wednesday, single panel comic Friday? We’ll see. I’m going to implement this one next week.
– Maybe doing a contest every couple of months to get new readers? Someone suggested that, and I think it’s a good idea, but what will the prize be? Hm….
Anyone have any other suggestions on what I can do to get people checking out the site?
