I’ve mentioned before that my son is a picky eater. One of the most unhelpful pieces of advice I’ve heard is “toddlers are good at regulating their own nutrition.” People who say this either a.) Know nothing about toddlers or b.) Know nothing about nutrition. My son would eat ice cream all day if I let him. And that’s about it. He still hates eating. We just got back form the beach and you know what he ate in three days? Two empty ice cream cones and a tortilla. And then we supplemented him with baby food pouches because we know he hates eating.

Anyway, I used goldfish in this cartoon because I know it’s something toddlers tend to like, but in reality, he hates those too.
