Remember How Exciting it Was When they First Talked?

First, the bad news. I’ve been sick for the past two weeks. I just got some lab results back, and apparently I have C Diff, thanks to some antibiotics I was on last month. So as a result of being stationed in the bathroom for two weeks straight, my son’s new favorite word is poop. “Mommy poops! Poop gone! Bye bye poop!” Charming.

Actually, he doesn’t *really* say Mommy. He calls me Ba. He calls the cat Mama. So when we’re out in a public restroom, he’ll yell “BA POOP!” Even though in public restrooms I’m probably NOT. But it doesn’t matter to him. Anyone on a toilet is pooping in his mind. Last week there was a whole episode of Daniel Tiger about pooping, except it was not about pooping at all, but there was a toilet in it so to my son it was “Tiger poop!”
