Affordable Care Act and Breastfeeding

My latest collaboration with Breastfeeding Mama Talk! Kristy (the owner of BFMama Talk) and I had discussed possibly doing a Women’s March-themed breastfeeding comic, after I attended the Women’s March on DC in January. But I wasn’t really sure what to say about breastfeeding and all of the other issues brought up at the march. I settled on the repeal of the ACA. Personally, I hope our lawmakers decide to replace the ACA instead of repealing it. I know there are a lot of problems with it as it currently exists, but there are a lot of good things too. For example, it makes many provisions for breastfeeding mothers. I was able to get a free breast pump because of it. Those things are usually a few hundred bucks. And not gonna lie, the tubing got a little funky, so I wouldn’t mind having a new one covered whenever I get knocked up again.

Anyway, I probably won’t get political very often. I realize statistically, a little shy of half of you are probably Trump supporters, and exactly none of you come here for my thoughts on politics. So I promise that for at least next week, we’ll be back to your regularly scheduled toddler jokes.
