Tour de Potties

So I’m late with this week’s cartoon. I don’t have any more in the reserves, so what you’ve been seeing lately more or less relate to what’s going on in my life currently: Potty training. I think I’m going to take the week of Mother’s Day off and use it to catch up on comics so I have at least a month’s worth of backups.

Anyway, potty training. Today I took my son out with me to run some errands. Our first stop was a local restaurant. I asked him if he needed to potty, he says yes. So we use the bathroom, and he doesn’t go. And you know what? The bathroom was pretty clean. So of course he didn’t have to pee.

So then we go to our second stop: AutoZone. I intentionally didn’t go to Salvo Auto Parts, because I’ve used their bathroom before and it was disgusting. So I figured AutoZone’s bathroom couldn’t be that much worse. Well I sure was wrong. It was the most disgusting bathroom we’ve encountered in our potty training journey thus far. And guess what? No soap! And of course he had to use it. And then he wanted to flush it. So basically I will be dousing him in bleach and burning the clothes he was wearing.

But it makes me wonder, are the bathrooms at auto parts stores so disgusting because they don’t have as many female employees so they don’t clean the women’s room? Or is the men’s room equally as disgusting? Anyway, when we left the bathroom at AutoZone I saw the manager interviewing someone. Hopefully it was for a custodial position.
