Happy Easter!

I’m trying to figure out how to celebrate my son’s first Easter. My husband and I aren’t religious, but we were both raised Catholic and did the whole bunny thing. I guess I’d like my son to experience that, for the sake of tradition…but the whole “do we celebrate Easter” ...

A New Rule

This is actually a rule we started when we first got our cat. Whoever heard her vomiting first was the one who had to clean it up. The idea was that this would ensure the cat puke got cleaned up as soon as possible. The reality is, Kent and I ...

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night!

Ok, I know the Dylan Thomas poem isn’t about mom haircuts. I took some creative liberties. There’s this stereotype that moms are inherently boring. You get the mom hair, wear the mom jeans, drive a minivan…all of that seems pretty horrifying to me. (Side note: The mom hair was modeled ...

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Posting a day early, because I wanted to do a St. Patrick’s Day cartoon, but I forgot when St. Patrick’s Day was, apparently. So, yay Tuesday cartoon! Personally, I won’t be drinking tonight. And you know what we’re having for dinner? Tacos. But I’m wearing green and I managed to ...

The Virtues of Cloth Diapers

Those of you who know my husband, know cloth diapers are never going to happen. Frankly, I’m surprised he’s doing such a great job with the disposable diapers. It’s the whole “getting up-close and personal” with poop thing that’s a deal breaker for us. Otherwise, cloth diapers sound great. Why ...

Don’t Confuse Your Son

I’m a little wary about this one. I feel like I’ve seen a really similar comic to this somewhere else. I’m hoping I didn’t inadvertently rip someone off. My husband is very picky about the correct voices for our son’s toys. He wants us to maintain consistency. We don’t actually ...

Cat vs. Babies

This week I’ve been having. Let me tell you. First, I’m updating this a little later than usual. I live in the boonies, and therefore satellite internet is my only option. Which, when it snows, means no internet/slow internet. Second, I’ve been fighting an ongoing battle with clogged ducts. If ...
