Creating a Love of Books

We own so. many. books. Even before I had a kid, I would occasionally buy beautifully illustrated children’s books. And then I became an elementary school teacher, so I would buy books for lessons. And then I got pregnant, and not only did the book buying increase tenfold, but all ...

A Perpetual Energy Source

So I’d been meaning to do a cartoon on how if someone gives your kid a V-Tech toy, they probably hate you. But then V-Tech was kind enough to share one of my comics, and I felt bad. But seriously, any toddler toy that includes the word “tech” in the ...

Go to the Zoo, They said…

So I recently bought a membership to our local zoo. It’s pretty small and mostly petting zoo-type animals. They do have some good exotic creatures. The last time we were there, the zebras got somewhat lose to the fence, and you could get a really good look at them. Did ...

The Phone Knows

Sorry, I don’t have a Father’s Day cartoon this year. Father’s Day cartoons are hard, man. So many dad jokes are more or less “hurr hurr! Dads are dumb!” And that doesn’t reflect my experience with my husband. He’s actually a very funny person, but hard to do relatable ...

Mom Weight Loss Routine

Those Fast Food Tube Play Area Things

I took my son to a McDonald’s with a Playland in it for the first time the other day. It’s not that I’m a snob who doesn’t eat fast food ever. We just don’t have many Fast Food places with play areas in my area. Also, it’s been raining non-stop ...

Girls’ Day Out!

I actually haven’t done this with a friend in the car yet, but I’m sure it’s coming. I don’t know how many times I’ve gone out, sans baby, and not realized I’ve been rocking out to his music for a solid half hour. I don’t *think* I’ve ever made it ...
