A Beautiful Moment

My son loves reading. He brings me books all the time. ALL the time. And as soon as I take the book from him, he plops he little butt right in my lap. It’s adorable. Except when he brings books into the bathroom. The other thing he does in the ...

False Positive

Ah, I’m finally doing a puke comic. I knew I’d find something funny about it. This really happened, by the way. When my son first got sick, I was feeling a little queasy. I spent an entire day thisclose to buying a pregnancy test because I was convinced our birth ...

Taking the Baby to Disney World

Yep. We were those people. We took a fifteen month old to Disney World. My husband had a conference down there, we had some frequent flyer miles so we figured – why not? And actually, it went really well. Well-behaved babies aren’t funny, so I changed some stuff for the ...

Wine Pairings for Toddler Tantrums

Oddly enough, I’m not really a big drinker. I mean, I do drink, but I prefer beer, and I really don’t know anything about wine. I actually had to Google the spellings of all these wines, and then I had to Google again to see what color they all were. ...

The New Bra

I actually stopped breastfeeding my son about a month ago. One of the things I was looking forward to about stopping breastfeeding was going out and getting new bras that actually fit. For the past year, I’ve been wearing sleep-nursing bras, which offer no support and are basically small, glorified ...

English to Toddler Translation

So….I guess I have a toddler? He’s 16 months, does that qualify him? I’m defining this as “one who toddles.” And he certainly does a lot of that. He also enjoys running. From me. And my husband. And basically anyone who looks like they might need to pick him up. ...

Eddie Vedder

Does anyone get this cartoon? My husband does this EVERY time we’re in Target, and he sees the Evenflo products. He starts singing Evenflo, by Pearl Jam. So I thought it was funny, and I showed this to him, and you know what he says? “I don’t get it.” You’re ...
